The Story of Roswell
In 1830, while traveling through North Georgia, Roswell King came across a little known area with great potential for a cotton mill along Vickery Creek. It was at this site that he built his iconic mill and the town of Roswell began. Roswell Mill still survives today, despite several attempts to destroy it. It is a living testament to the craftsmanship and resilience of its builders.
